Benjamin Judkins
Head Instructor
Benjamin Judkins is an instructor in the TPLA (Terra Prime Light Armory) system of Lightsaber Combat, bringing real world martial art skills to everyone’s favorite “elegant weapon.” His background is in the Southern Chinese martial arts and he has also taught classes in Wing Chun Kung Fu. Professionally Judkins is a social scientist who studies (among other topics) the development and function of martial arts in the modern world.

Javier Rosa
Assistant Instructor
Javier E. Rosa (Javi) is an apprentice in the TPLA system of lightsaber combat training. He currently runs and teaches the classes at Ithaca Sabers, under the supervision of Benjamin Judkins (Ithaca Sabers Knight and founder). Javi is helped by the other apprentices at the school. He started in Martial Arts at 15 years of age, mainly Traditional TaeKwonDo. Javi has been practicing lightsaber combat since it started in Ithaca and created our school logo.
Sarah Ridenour
Assistant Instructor
Sarah is an apprentice in the TPLA system of lightsaber combat training. When not wielding the blade she is a Physical Therapist who enjoys a wide range of endurance sports.
Jake Cornwell
Assistant Instructor
Jacob is an Apprentice in the TPLA system of Lightsaber Combat. He has a background in martial arts, with a black belt in Tae Kwon Do.
